CLPL Has a New Catalog

We’re excited to announce the library has launched a new catalog. BiblioCore brings a modern catalog experience designed to make searching and discovering titles easier than ever. (Our old catalog will be around for a few more months, too. We’re still working on transitioning some of our materials). Learn more about the new catalog here.

Homebound and Outreach Delivery – Right to Your Door!

Whether you live in an adult living community or in your own home, Crystal Lake Public Library provides free delivery of material to registered cardholders who are physically unable to visit the library. All residents of Crystal Lake adult living communities are eligible to receive a library card, as are those living in their own home within the Crystal Lake city limits.

Cardholders who have a chronic disability, a long-term illness, or a temporary injury or illness, regardless of age, can be part of our Outreach or Homebound Services. Also, if you are a caregiver for a family member who needs library material, we may be able to help with delivery as well.

Homebound or outreach patrons, or their family member or caregiver, work directly with library staff to request materials. Patrons can request specific items or work with a staff member to create a delivery that fits their interests and preferences. A wide variety of materials are available for checkout, including books in large print, audiobooks, magazines, movies and TV series; music CDs; and even video games.

To register for, or to learn more about this convenient and supportive service, please call CLPL at 815.459.1687, ext. 7. We’re happy to help bring the library to you!
