Need to clear out unused craft supplies? Or, maybe you’re interested in picking up some new-to-you craft supplies? The “Swap” will open to the public at 10:30am. People who donate items in advance will receive an early entry voucher for 10am. We’re accepting donations starting Monday, Sept. 28. Open to everyone, even non-cardholders. Early voting will be conducted in the library’s Ames Room located in the lower level of the building. Accessible parking is available on Paddock Street and there is an elevator in the lobby that can provide access to the lower level.

Enjoy the scenic outdoors and a good story, too, when you visit Three Oaks Recreation Area. In partnership with the city of Crystal Lake, the Crystal Lake Public Library has a new StoryWalk® feature along the new Lake Loop Trail at Three Oaks Recreation Area.
The StoryWalk® starts near The Board House and continues west a short distance along the trail. The first story on the walk is “Who Ate Steve?,” a humorous children’s book written by Susannah Lloyd and illustrated by Kate Hindley. The stories will be changed out every few months so you’ll always have a new story to look forward to.
